Susan & Ron | Thanksgiving Wedding at Niwot Inn & Spa | Colorado Wedding Photographer

As a photographer, there are a lot of things I can enhance in an image – the lighting, the color, the angle. There is one thing I cannot, however, manipulate… and that’s LOVE. True love, like the kind Ron and Susan have, is the kind of thing that radiates through photos without any kind of exaggeration or edit. Because of Susan and Ron, I have a great handful of these kinds of images to prove this point.

Opting for an intimate ceremony with family and friends, Susan and Ron were wed at the beautiful Niwot Inn & Spa in Niwot, Colorado. The weather was unseasonably warm and the couple strolled the grounds while I tagged along behind, capturing some sentimental, pre-ceremony moments.

When Susan contacted me about her wedding, she explained that this was her first marriage and Ron’s second. The couple chose a cozy bed-and-breakfast as the venue and asked a small handful of family and friends to attend. The entire event was very sweetly composed and choreographed. As Susan walked down the stairs towards Ron, neither could hold back their tears. Honestly, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house.

Ron and Susan’s faith is the center of their lives. Not only was this faith the focus of the ceremony, but it was clearly acted out in their love for each other and for their family. The couple made sure all were included in every aspect of the day.

Time flies when you’re madly in love; I know it will be the blink of an eye before I am off to visit Ron and Susan’s farm, just outside of Denver. I’m looking forward to reuniting with these two lovebirds – and all the various farm animals – to celebrate their year together with an anniversary session!
