Colorado Mountains Fall Engagement Session at Kenosha Pass
In a little over a week, Mikala & Grant will be officially tying the knot at Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park. For now I’m very excited about sharing their Kenosha Pass engagement session from last fall. Heading to the Colorado mountains in the fall to see the leaves change should be on everyone’s bucket list when they visit or live here. It truly is an amazing sight and is a perfect backdrop for a Colorado Fall Engagement Session.
He Proposed, She said…”It’s about time!”
Mikala and Grant have been together for a LONG time. With almost a decade of dating they always knew that they were meant to get married some day. They had decided to wait until both of them were done with college and secure in their careers. So when Grant finally popped the question on a hike to the famous Crystal Mill near Aspen, Mikala responded, “Its About Time!”
Frolicking in the Fall Foliage
When Mikala told me she wanted to have a fall engagement session we immediately started brain storming location ideas. Colorado has many wonderful locations that are perfect for that. The hard part is the timing since different areas change color at different times. Then there’s that tricky thing called Mother Nature and we can get a random snowstorm anytime starting in September which can wipe out a lot of leaves.
I suggested Kenosha Pass after throwing out a few ideas. It’s relatively close to Denver (under 2 hours), it’s an easy hike, and they have lots of aspen trees that are gorgeous in the fall. The day of the session turned out perfect. The weather was amazing and it wasn’t too hot. We spent a few hours hiking around some of the trails and getting some amazing photos.
