Epic Engagement Workshop | Styled Engagement Shoot | Evergreen Lake House

June has been an incredibly busy month so naturally I’ve fallen a bit behind in blogging. I finally had some time to write a little something about the Epic Engagement Workshop that I attended back in March. “Epic” doesn’t even begin to describe the great time I had with some fellow photographers, vendors and amazing models.

The styled shoot was organized by It Works If You Workshop (formerly Atomic Workshops) and was hosted at Evergreen Lake House in Evergreen, Colorado. I love Evergreen and it’s a great little town just west of Denver. It’s a perfect location for being in the mountains but still very close to Denver. The weather was a little cloudy, which is perfect for any outdoor shoot and the temperature was also great. Believe it or not, March is one of our snowiest months here in Colorado but we lucked out and got some great weather for the day.

We had 4 amazing couples that we each got to spend about 30 minutes with. All the women had their hair & make-up professionally done by The Glam Team while Geri’s Gems – A Chloe & Isabelle Boutique provided some great jewelry for them to wear. We had the entire venue to ourselves and got great shots from different areas around the lake. Some of the couples were even brave enough to get in the water (in March) for a few shots. All of the couples were so amazing to work with and were so gracious with their time and willingness to let us direct them.

I had such a great time meeting new faces and seeing current friends. It’s always so fun to get together with like-minded people to just have fun and practice. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of doing shoots like this.
