The Aguayo Family | Golden Ponds Nature Area Family Photos
Colorado Family Photographer
Meet the Aguayo Family!
As a Colorado Family Photographer, I was so excited to be able to photograph this super fun family last fall. I’ve known Fred (dad) for a few years now plus he’s also friends with the Moffitt Family, another adorable family that I photographed last summer at Golden Ponds Nature Area. When I showed him this Colorado Family Photo Session, he was convinced that he wanted me to do their family photos as well.
After talking with Fred, he got me in touch with his wife Olga. We chatted on the phone about what they wanted to do and she decided that she would also like Golden Ponds Nature Area as the location for their Colorado family photo session. It was close to their home in Longmont and it’s also one of my favorite places to have family photo sessions. There are significant views of Longs Peak and the front range from this park plus you can also walk along the trails and go fishing there.
Since the session took place in the fall, the leaves had already started changing and the water from the river had receded a lot. That made it a lot easier to go near the water without any significant risks. I think this time of year is almost even better than the summer because of all the color from the tree’s changing. The weather is almost always amazing since it’s cooled down but it’s still warm enough where you don’t necessarily need a jacket.
The session started across the bridge near the waterfall area where we were able to walk close to the small damn. I was able to get a good variety of photos of Fred, Olga and the kids while at this particular spot. Afterwards, we also walked up the trail where there were some more colorful tree’s. I had fun with the kids playing some games and telling them to have tickle wars with their parents. In the end, everyone had a great time and I got some amazing fall photos from this Colorado Family Photo Session.
